Bayer MaterialScience said last week that it plans to end the resin operations in New Martinsville, West Virginia at the end of this year. The plant's 300 workforce is cut to 260. According to spokesman Sean Kelly, workers may find other positions in other parts of the company. The closure of the line is part of Bayer's plan to restructure its global initiatives. The company said the resin work would be absorbed into other facilities worldwide.
